How it works

Shared pieces: change one and they all change

What repeats across several screens, like a tab bar or a button, the AI turns into a shared piece. Adjust it once and all its copies change.

When something repeats on two or more screens (a tab bar, the header, a product card), the AI turns it into a shared piece. Each screen has a copy, but they all come from the same piece.

How they're made

The AI creates the pieces while it builds: there's no button to create them. If you want something to be a piece, ask for it in a note, for example: "Make the tab bar a shared piece on every screen".

Change a piece on every screen

  1. Click Adjust on the rail, or press P, and click the element.
  2. If it comes from a piece, All copies is selected in Applies to, with how many copies there are and on how many screens. Just this one shows off.
  3. Change whatever you want: padding, colors, typography, corners.
  4. Click Save. The message says how many copies it was saved in, and the screens reload with the change.

Everything about Adjust is in Adjust by hand.

A change in just one copy

You can't detach a copy from its piece in the interface. If you want a screen to have a different version, dictate it: the AI puts that change only on that screen or adds a new option to the piece.

When the AI changes a piece

When you review the batch, you'll see the screens that use the piece listed as also changed: the AI didn't touch them one by one, the change reached them through the piece.

See the project's pieces

There's no list of pieces in the interface yet. If you ask for the Style guide, the AI documents them there: see The style guide and the documentation.

Adjusting pieces belongs to the Owner and to whoever Can run with AI.
