Screens don't update on the canvas

The canvas catches up on its own in a few seconds. If a screen doesn't change, check your connection, reload it, or zoom in to see it live.

When a screen changes (a batch, a touch-up, a teammate), the canvas picks it up on its own in a few seconds, while the tab is visible: the screen flashes and the pill at the top says Updated with its name.

If it doesn't change

  1. Look at the pill at the top. If it says Offline, check your network; once it's back, the canvas catches up.
  2. Reload that screen: the Reload button on its frame, or right-click › Reload. If the screen was showing as a screenshot, it stays live until its new screenshot arrives.
  3. Zoom in. With the canvas zoomed far out, screens show as a screenshot, not live. If it says Preparing the preview, the new screenshot is still being made; zoom in to see it live.
  4. Check in Review whether the change was applied: if the AI left a screen half done, it was reverted and you won't see a change. See Run your notes and review the changes.
  5. Go back to the tab. While the tab is in the background, the canvas doesn't check for changes; when you go back, it catches up.

If none of this helps, reload the whole page with Ctrl+F5 (on Mac, Cmd+Shift+R).

On your phone

In Bitácora Lite, each screen has a reload button to the left of its name. Screens update on their own when the AI or someone else changes them, and when you go back to the tab they're checked right away.
