A Bitácora file (.bitacora) is a copy of a project: its screens, notes, guides, to-dos and its flow. Use it to keep the project somewhere else, move it to another workspace or have a copy before a big change.

Download a project

  1. In Projects, open the ⋯ menu on its card, or right-click it.
  2. Click Download Bitácora file.
  3. Bitácora prepares it and the download starts on its own.

Open it

  1. Drop the file onto Projects, or click New project and choose Open a Bitácora file.
  2. If you like, give it a different Name.
  3. Click Open project. You'll see Uploading the file and then Opening the project….

It comes in as a new project, even if you still have the original: it never replaces another one.

Troubleshooting

  • "This file did not come from Bitácora, or it was modified": only files downloaded from Bitácora and left untouched can be opened. Just any ZIP, or a .bitacora that was opened and compressed again, won't go in.
  • "The file is over 300 MB": that is the maximum size of a Bitácora file.
  • You reached your plan's project limit: opening a file counts as one more project. Archive one or change plans.
  • The studio reached its storage limit: the opened project takes up disk space. Delete a project or empty the trash to make room.
  • You don't see Download Bitácora file: downloading requires the Can run with AI role.
