How it works
When to adjust by hand and when to dictate
For an exact value, adjust it by hand; for a change across the whole project, use the Design System; for anything that changes structure or behavior, dictate.

Bitácora gives you three ways to change a screen. Picking the right one saves time and runs.
| You want to… | Use | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Change a text | Text (T) | You type over it and it saves right away, without AI |
| A color, a fill, the corners or an icon of one element | Adjust (P) | You see the exact value and the result instantly |
| That same change in every copy of a piece | Adjust, with All copies | Once, and it changes on every screen |
| The brand color or the typography across the whole project | Design System | It changes every screen, the tokens and the pieces |
| Move, add or remove elements | Dictate | It changes the structure of the screen |
| A behavior: what happens on tap, an animation, a state | Dictate | It is code the AI writes |
| A new screen, or several at once | Dictate | The AI builds them and keeps them consistent |
| Try out ideas | Dictate, asking for versions | You compare them on the real screen |
A short rule
If you know the exact value, adjust it yourself. If you know what you want to achieve but not how, dictate it.
They work together
You can dictate the structure, run it and then fine-tune the details by hand. What you adjust by hand goes into the screen's history, just like an AI batch, and can be undone.
