Seats and collaboration pass

Each person who enters a shared project takes a seat. Your plan includes some; for the rest there's the collaboration pass, a one-time payment for the months you choose.

A seat is one person's place in a shared project, besides you. How many you have depends on the plan.

Below the team, in Project team, a line says how many seats you're using and how many are left, or whether the project is included in your plan.

The collaboration pass

To share a project your plan doesn't include, or to have more seats, activate a pass:

  1. In Project team, click Activate collaboration pass.
  2. In Duration, choose from 1 to 24 months. Below you see the date it lasts until.
  3. In People who will join, adjust the seats. The first one is included; each extra one costs $10 a month.
  4. On Essential, you can add Developer mode for that project.
  5. Check the Total and click Pay and activate. Up to 50 seats fit in one purchase.

It's a one-time payment, not another subscription, and your plan doesn't change. When you come back you'll see Your pass is active. and the people who were waiting at the door get in on their own, as long as there are seats. Prices are in What each plan includes.

Extending it and when it ends

  • Extend, in the same place, adds months or seats to an active pass.
  • We notify you 7 days and 1 day before it ends. Invited people see a banner in the last days.
  • When it runs out, the people who were getting in lose access, with all their work kept. If you buy another pass, they come back.
  • If your plan stops being active, the pass is paused and you don't lose any days.

If someone arrives at the door later, let them in with the circle next to their name: see Let in someone waiting at the door.
